DAILY BLOG - SCROLL DOWNWARD
Each year we commit the first 21 days of November to a time of fasting and prayer as a church family to better hear God's voice and find direction for the upcoming new year. We refuse to step into the new year REACTIVE to events as they develop. This is our means of being PROACTIVE by pursuing after God to get a revelation of what lies ahead and discover, in advance, what He wants us to do.
Fasts can be found everywhere in the Bible. These are times when God’s people dedicated themselves for a set amount of time to pray, study limited/adjust their food intake, drink and other common pleasures. They used their time to get closer to God, search out answers and fight for breakthrough in critical areas of their lives. Fasts could be as short as a single meal to as long as 40 days. With any fast comes a level of discomfort and inconvenience, but that was part of the sacrifice offered to God in order to draw closer to Him and experience the other outcomes sought after.
Fasting should never be treated as a form of asceticism, the act of enduring enough physical discomfort to obtain enough points with God to get Him to act on our behalf. Instead, fasting is the work of getting ourselves into alignment with God so we can have direct access to the things He already wants in our lives.

Fasting - what and at what levels you fast during these 21 days is up to you. But whatever you fast, write it down and stick to it. Ultimately, you need to commit to a defined level of fasting in areas including individual foods, specific meals, days without eating, forms of entertainment, leisure activities, social media, hobbies, etc. (Consult your physician regarding fasting foods/liquids first to make sure your commitment matches your circumstances.)

After registering, check into the C3 Church App and click on the bottom right tab that says “more.” Then click on the link that says “groups.” Within several days of registration a N24 small group should appear giving you access to those in your group and the means to interact within the app. Your group leader will initiate some dialogue toward the end of the day giving you the opportunity to respond. Be sure to do so between the hours of 8AM and 8PM.

Finally, stick with Novemberfast all 21 days. If for some reason you miss a day or two, do not quit. Pick back up with the current day, and if you have time, go back and visit missed days. And if you don’t find time to go back, keep moving forward. Better to miss a day or two then drop out because of a day or two. But even better, knock it out of the park all 21 days.
This year, you’ll notice that the theme of our fast is TRIUMPH. We have chosen this theme because as disciples following Jesus, we we face pushback with every step we take. But the pushback can be overcome. We can take ground and TRIUMPH. After all. Jesus overcame every form of pushback and TRIUMPHED on our behalf. Ultimately, following Him allows us to follow him into a life filled with TRIUMPH.
During this time we believe that God is going to grant you revelation, vision and strength for this season and the new year to come. This is going to be an incredible 21 days, and we are excited to have you join us!
